Bday NU day
“Wishing you everyday is like Bday and New day!”
03.17. 2023
It’s been one year since I created B-day ear-cuff on my Birthday when I first started my line.
I made a ear-cuff for myself as a gift. As I had a pleasure to wear it, I’d love to share the joyful feeling with others.
At the beginning of new B day, I was thinking of my favorite things and the memorable scenes from my past. And I started writing down the words and the phrases.
I like Pink shoes.
Green in Water
Cold spring night
Mom’s Jewel box
Water says..
The Stranger
Curtain Call
Come and see me sometimes
I have stories in my memories. In the memory, there are always some elements, materials, objects, space and people. That might be the reason why I always feel more precious when I use the material produced over the years or have someone’s stories.
For B day NU day, I’m creating new objects with limited antique crystal rhinestones. Each cuff is only one piece. I hope the person will have each cuff would feel precious, warm, and joyful.
Love,
Hanna
I have never had pink shoes, but I like Pink shoes. I don’t know why. When I draw my self-portrait, the girl in the drwaring wears the pink shoes. I might have a little girl who likes pink, somewhere in my heart.
Green in Water has depth. Green in water keeps changing color as the light changes. Green in water brings imaginary scenes.
Cold spring night… Blue air
I remember nights in cold spring.
I remember the scents of the air.
Walked, walked, walked and walked…
I don’t have a memory of mom’s jewelry box when I think of my childhood. After my dad passed away, Mom lifted the lid of her unglamorous little jewelry box and showed me her jewelries, made of tiny stones that she treasured. I realized that my mom was also a woman who had precious things and dreams.
A note thinking of mom.
From the song, Venus, Ana Roxanne, 2020
Water accepts all who come its way
Water accepts all walks of life
And we gratefully surrender and open to this healing element.
“the stranger”
Living as a stranger
needs to open the imaginary door
takes courage
Somtimes feeling special
Somtimes feeling alone
In 2010, on a cold and tough day in Paris, I walked into the oldest church in Paris, following the sound of the clarinet. The music was beautiful. The clapping woke me up. It was a curtain call and made me think of life.
“come and see me sometimes.”
The phrase came from my favorite picture book ‘Kuma Kuma et moi’ written by Kazue Takahashi.
I got a picture book when I was living in Paris. I could see me through this little book. I guess I was a little bit like Kuma Kuma.
Comment vas-tu?
Viens me voir de temps en temps…
